Joe Bike

Joe bike is one of the best bike shops in Portland. It's a small shop located directly in the heart of Southeast Portland. It seems to be right on a major biking arterial, as bikers are going back-and-forth constantly right by the shop. It's basically urban biking heaven right there. Not only that, Belmont Station is nearby so I know a visit to Joe Bike also means I'm going to get to enjoy a unique brew. The guys: Nick, Matthew, Bill ... these guys know bikes. They did such a great job on my tune up; my bike is the best it's ever been: shifting is crisp, ride is smooth, performance is great! It feels like a new bike. Best customer service!

I’ve had some ups and downs here with service. Fender installation took two tries — the first time nothing worked, and the second time they made it fit but drilled in the wrong spot. To their credit, they owned the mistake, comped the job, and even offered to redo it with the correct part. I appreciate that, but I’d say they’re stronger on sales than on service. Great place to buy a bike, but for certain repairs or installs I’d look at other shops too.

My bikes always rides so much better after a tuneup here. Everyone is super helpful, and they figure out what needs to be done to keep my bike riding smoothly even when I've got older bikes and need to order special parts. Such a great bike shop to have in the community

Regret there are not 6 stars. These very nice folks fixed a problem (of my doing) quickly, shared some tips and got me back on the road - yet again. All my future bike repair will be happening there.
