The store has a welcoming, well-organized layout with a great selection of high-quality outdoor gear and apparel. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the outdoors. They took the time to answer all my questions and helped me find exactly what I needed for my adventure. The service felt personalized and thoughtful, which made shopping enjoyable and stress-free.

High Desert has long been our go-to shop for bike repairs and accessories. Recently, we experienced their commitment to our community through the workshop they held for our Cub Scout pack. They spent 90 minutes with our scouts, introducing them to various types of bikes, teaching them basic bike maintenance and answering their questions. First time visiting ABQ. We struck out twice with other bike rental stores trying to secure a small frame e-bike. High Desert West had the new models and sizes we needed. And really nice new helmets. Friendly, helpful staff. The best part was that they picked up our bikes at our hotel (15 minutes away from their store) to help us avoid a rainy return trip, and get to our flight on time.

Great bike shop. We rented 5 ebikes for the day. Preston and Asher set us up and fit our bikes, and gave spots to see. Can’t recommend them enough.

Update: This place is no longer locally owned. It’s corporately owned. The guy working the front was rude with us and the pricing was not competitive. We found another Specialized dealer here in town to service our other brands of bikes for much better pricing and servicing. It’s sad that this place has changed so much.
