Silver Cycles DC

I have had a bike in DC for 16 years, and get tune ups once or twice a year and tried various shops around town. I recently had my annual maintenance completed at Silver Cycles and it was honestly the best tune-up my bike has ever had, and at the same, if slightly lower price than other shops. I highly recommend.

I’ve previously used Silver Cycles in the past and had good experiences, but when I recently took my bike in for a front and rear brake repair, Silver Cycle returned my “work completed” bike with the front brake still unrepaired. In general a requested repair not being logged is frustrating, but sending out a bike improperly listed as repaired with brake damage is a serious safety issue. Hands down the best bike shop in DC! Fair prices, quick service, and a team that’s both friendly and efficient. What sets them apart is their honesty—they won’t upsell you on repairs or parts your bike doesn’t need. It’s a local spot that feels genuine and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

Bad experience here. The mechanic was unconvincing and did a very poor job indeed. They also weren't honest. They tried hard to upsell me, which was super annoying.

I’m always in great hands at Silver Cycles! The staff is always professional, kind, down-to-earth, and will take the time to talk with me about my bike. I’ve brought a variety of bikes, and they always help to find the least expensive solutions. And great news, they just started partnering with Rybit and servicing Van Moofs!
