I ride my bike to 30th st and take the train to work. I came back one time to find my bike had a flat. No big deal and remembered this shop was over here, check it was still open, it was. So I walked 15 mins or so pushing my bike. I see the guy putting some bikes back in the shop and I asked if he was still open and able to fix my flat. Imo as a "pro" I figured itd be quick. I just wanted to ride it then and get home. He said itd take him till end of day tomorrow. At that point I just...

Chain popped off in Center City so I gave Dr. cycles a call. He let me know he was in and would be there in 30 minutes when I arrived. $10 and 10 minutes later I had a ride as good as ever. Dr also helped me with a gear shift issue the last guy couldn’t fix. 10/10 would recommend calling the Dr and stopping by. There’s also a good cafe across the street in case you have to wait on your repair

Great experience! He fixed my bike twice..., on the spot while I waited in the coffee shop. I have a road bike and an e-bike and they are going strong and no problems - yes he may leave the shop early, but he's the only one that works there. And he's a great person to deal with. He fixed both of my bikes on the spot bc he has time. you're never gonna get the same service at other shops. At fire house bikes they said it will be done by 4 and the other shop I had to leave it overnight. He defi...

Michael is awesome! I was priced at $300 for a repair at another shop when all I wanted was my fork fixed just so that I didn’t have my bike of 7 years thrown out. At that point of owning a bike it gets sentimental! He put me right at $145 and I was ecstatic. There some more repairs waiting for my bike but best believe I’ll be coming here for the rest of its fixes. I also just recently bought a used bike for my partner from here. Went on a test ride after purchase before I let them have it an...

as a cyclist who has lived nearby for as long as this shops been "open" - i had to learn & accept this isnt a real bike shop or legit business. its the occasional project of one guy who doesnt keep actual fixed hours, wont sell basic things like tubes/ patch kits, will be chilling outside much of the day with a bunch of peoples broken bikes nearby but like who knows when and in what state they'll get them back in? (have heard many a story about it.) neighbors joke hes "from that show the WIR...
