Amazing! Definitely one of the smaller bike stores. There is a decent selection of bikes to choose from. They helped me pick out a bike I'd like. I took it for a test ride, went to some other stores and came back to ride it again. Super friendly, glad to have bought my new bike here! Edit: I've been back a few times with little issues with my bike, He happily took a look and fixed the issues right then and there. No charge either. I'm extremely happy with the service provided here.
I ordered an out-of-stock-most-places Surly Krampus online from Joe Mammas. Communication before and after the sale was outstanding. The bike (which had been assembled as a floor model) was carefully taken apart and re-packed very well and shipped to me right away. I'm good with bikes so assembly went smoothly and I didn't even have to tune shifting or braking - either they did it before shipping or Surly ships bikes tuned pretty damn well. Big purchases online can be a little scary, but Joe ...
Came here to receive a general tune up and tube installation, was told if they wanted to do anything else to my bike they would call before doing it to make sure it was okay cost wise. Went to pick up my bike and it was $70 more than anticipated with 3 or 4 new fees attached. I came back and said I was never consulted about this and the staff apologized but nothing was done. Emailed the owner before leaving this review but clearly had no reply. Disappointed by the service for sure.
I've had nothing but positive experiences with Joe Mamma Cycles. The entire team is fantastic to work with. They did a frame-up build of a surly midnight special for me using a hodge-podge of parts ordered through them and things I custom ordered. After several parts were missing (thanks to our mutual misunderstanding of SRAM electronic shifting and surly being lovably weird), the team snagged parts from their own bikes and personal orders to get the bike running. I've had it now for around...
Called Joe mama’s to find out about pricing to disassemble and reassemble my partner’s bike. On the first call I was assured that it would be a price of a tune up. Called again when making my appointment online and was told the same thing, I only had to pay for a tune up for this single speed. When paying for the bike I was charged more because they decided it was more work than they had anticipated? I didn't want to make a huge fuss but I told them that it felt like a it was all just a ploy ...
