Bike Boom

Best bike repair shop in the area. The folks there are unpretentious and kind. The services are affordable. I got a small repair done, and when the work was complete (quite quickly), they provided an itemized receipt and wrote up an "evaluation" of the condition my bike was in before and after repairs. I continue to be impressed by the service I have received here over the years.

No new opinions here, but I completely agree with everyone who raves about the repair services at Bike Boom! After visiting the larger local-to-Davis-Sq bike store that I will not name and experiencing a classic dismissive attitude from them, I walked over to Bike Boom. There I experienced the opposite. Fair prices, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I particularly appreciate that they have used parts for sale and don't push you to buy the newer replacement parts. Will say that of the 2 guys there when I visited, one is clearly more friendly and pleasant to work with than the other who has a terse attitude and makes you feel like you're annoying him with your business lol (this guy might even be the one in charge though) so I like when I get to interact with the friendlier guy!

Been here twice for a tire replacement and flat tire, and every time the mechanic has been thoughtful and helpful. They don’t try to upsell or recommend the priciest items. Both times I just walked in and didn’t make an appointment. Their repairs also feel affordable and not jacked up! Hopefully won’t be back soon haha but I love this little space and the genuine people
