The employees here were helpful and went above and beyond to give some resident NOLA suggestions. Unfortunately, the bikes for rent were coaster bikes which were not conducive to me riding over pot holes through downtown and over to the garden district crossing the freeway onramp. We had a great experience renting bikes at Bokah Bikes in the Bywater district of New Orleans. Andy and his team have a great selection of cruisers and some mountain bikes. They are well maintained and the staff are very helpful to ensure the bikes are properly adjusted to meet your needs. Bike rentals come with locks for security and helmets are also available. Renting with Bokah took care of our transportation needs and made sight seeing a lot of fun!

They sold me a very nice bike for a very, very reasonable price, and they have continued to fix it up on the cheap whenever it has a problem. I could not ask for a better bike store right by my house. They're also pretty cool, even though they won't sell me their low point patch. I'll get my hands on one eventually
