Shout-out to Matthew and Owen at Bayou Bicycles — absolute legends on two wheels! I came in knowing nothing about bikes except that they have pedals, and these guys turned me into a cycling pro (well… almost). They found me the perfect ride — fits like it was custom-made by angels who moonlight as bike mechanics. Friendly, funny, and full of great advice — if bike shopping were a sport, these two would be gold medalists!

Matt & the Bayou Bicycles crew have provided expert repairs and advice for my internal hub bikes. My Electra 8i was crunched by a car while sitting on an RTA bus rack. The rear rim and tire were repaired, and they also replaced the old flood-corroded internal hub. Bayou Bicycles also rebuilt the drivetrain for my Budnitz No.3 hybrid, including a new Alfine-11 hub, shifter servo motor, carbon fiber belt drive and upgraded wiring.

Matthew and the whole team were so incredibly helpful, answering all my questions. It’s been years since I’ve owned my own bike and they made the process feel seamless and comfortable. Super friendly, good laughs and vibes at the shop!!
