Rent, but don't buy. My experience with this company was not good. We purchased a Beacon. Since the purchase, the degradation of the bike has been swift. The brakes went first. Next the throttle stopped working. Now the battery is refusing to recharge. I prefer to do work on the bike myself. The brakes weren't difficult to maintain. I bled them and replaced the brake pads. My friends and I were looking to rent bikes for a few hours and bike up the highway to Carlsbad. John was an awesome communicator and very accommodating to our needs and last minute plans. We got set up with some ebikes that were in great condition and easy to navigate. We biked for a little over three hours and truly had one of the most fun experiences ever. Excellent establishment! Mr. John and Mr. Frank made our first e-bike experience smooth from start to finish! Our bikes kept a strong charge for the full day as we biked miles down the coast. We were given excellent recommendations on where we should go and where to stop along the way. If we make it to the West Coast again, we will certainly be back!

Griff Electric Bikes is a great bike shop. Took my two electric bikes in for service and got them back right away. The customer service is top rated. John, the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would not go anywhere else. They also rent bikes so now I know where to go rent one when I have friends in town. Highly recommend going here for rentals and repairs.
