The service at this store is the best. Ofelia is so knowledgeable and sweet - you are so lucky to have her! She clearly loves the outdoors and will give personal recommendations on products along with funny anecdotes of her adventures. Thank you Ofelia for making sure I am prepared for my next trip, you thought of things I hadn’t considered and I feel confident in my purchases (especially the spicy dill pickle beans you sold me on at the last second! Yum!)

5 stars for Ophelia! I came in today with a tent pole issue and her service was above and beyond. She cared about my issue and solved it for me … and taught me tent maintenance tips. She’s very knowledgeable, skilled, and kind. So happy that on my next tenting trip my gear will perform better.

A big shout out to Ophelia who provided fantastic advice on boot fitting, and kept us from making a major mistake in purchasing a winter boot that would have been too small for my son. Her focus on customer service, product knowledge, and positive customer outcomes has renewed my faith in MEC. (I haven’t shopped at MEC since new ownership took over… the new ownership’s focus on customer service and product quality is on clear display)

We came in today to specifically buy backpacks for a Camino we’re doing next year. My first staffer was Joaquina and she was so helpful and was excited to help me. She also knew her fellow staffer Ophelia would be extra help due to her expertise in backpacks. Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) is one of my favorite outdoor equipment and gears stores. They have pretty well anything you need for outdoor activities: Hiking, Biking, Water sport, climbing, traveling, backpacks, shoes, clothing, etc. good selections of stuffs and sizes. I love their MEC brand products as well, good quality and functional in design. Our family pretty well grew up with MEC products. Knowledgeable and helpful staff!
