If you ever needed a lesson in customer service - come right to Pedego Portland! They bent backwards in accommodating me in every way possible - from the right sized bike to the perfect fitting helmet. Even a small carrier bag for my phone and water - they were one step ahead for my tiny little 2 hr rental! I can only imagine how you would be treated if you were to buy a Pedego from them!! Rented bikes to ride around Portland on a Fall day. Glen and Tina were great - very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We intended to ride to Bug Light Lighthouse but we decided against it since we were apprehensive about crossing the Casco Bay Bridge on bikes. We did ride along Back Bay Cove Trail which was accessible from behind the Pedego store. Had a great time - definitely recommend to other travelers. Their customer service is not good at all. I had to contact them to see if my bike was ready for a simple flat fix. Also they charged me 140 dollars for a tube and didn't even give me a new tire. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone for electric bike service.

The bike worked great, but the customer service was awful. From the moment I walked in I felt unwelcome and subject to suspicion. I told the guy I was there to rent an e-bike for my kid and that I would ride my own bike. When I asked about how their e-bike worked, the rep was condescending. He asked, "have you ever ridden a bike before?" I asked how far it could go on a charge. He looked at my kid and said, "well, weight is a factor..." He asked to physically keep my credit card while we bike...
