When I first moved over to NW DC I was calling around to shops that would loan me a bike bag for my flight to Miami. The team at silver cycles offered to rent me a bag and pack the bike for me. Since then I've been back a few times and every time I've been met with great service. This is really a neighborhood shop where you feel as though they are invested in your biking experience. 25+ yr old Cannondale classic racer was run down after ~50,000 miles across several states and cooking in DMV humidity and heat past two decades. Abysmal customer service. When I dropped off my "town" bike in early September for a simple tuneup, the clerk warned me it would take up to 3 weeks because all of their mechanics had gone back to college. I finally called after hearing nothing for 6 weeks, only to be told sheepishly that the bike had been ready for a month, but nobody had called me. Mechanic neglected to put both of the torque washers back into the rear dropouts, as a result, we have both warped dropouts.... manager had then the audacity to blame me on the mistake, despite the fact I had shown them evidence that the torque washer was not installed from when they changed my innertube, with photos I took before taking wheel off... TAKE SOME ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR MISTAKES!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.... Not to mention, RUDE.

A neighbourhood gem! Convenient to the downtown silver Spring area. Service is super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. I had an emergency inner tube replacement, brakes adjustment and saddle swap completed in less than 30 mins!! Thank you to E., L., and M.
