North of the Border Bicycle

My favorite bike shop in SD. It a small bike shop feel in a good way. You feel welcomed and appreciated, probably will make you come back for many years. High quality repairs with a long history in SD. Just two guys running it, Mike and Doug. One other guy helps out when they are too busy.

North of the Border Bicycle shop has been a complete pleasure to do business with. They are a very reliable and knowledgeable group of dudes who care about cycling, specifically mountain bikes with some gravel bikes thrown in too. They are friendly, cool, and fair in their pricing. They are a local bike shop, so as always, it's important to support local businesses when you can. Edit: PS: all the fake negative reviews are from complete muppets.

Mike and Doug are the owners and have a passion for riding and helping other riders have a great time. They do fantastic bike repair, reasonable prices, and can take on complex jobs that other bike shops mess up. I highly recommend their work.

Fantastic local bike shop: kind, fast, and insanely knowledgeable. I only trust these guys to work on my bike.

Did a rental through here and it was a great experience. Super helpful staff with good insight on the surrounding trail network. You can pretty much make your ride as technical or tame as you like and the rental bike is well equipped to handle the local terrain. Didn't buy anything but the shop was well stocked with quality gear as well. Wouldn't hesitate to bring my bike here if I lived in the area.
