Bernie's Bike Shop

Bernie’s is a true Ocean Beach classic. Roger, the long-standing owner, is a seasoned mechanic and frame builder who’s been building wheels since he was 14. I came in for one fix, he spotted a few more, and had everything done within 24 hours. Skilled, honest, and fast—perfect Labor Day reminder of work done right.

The best bike shop I know in San Diego for fair honest prices. In fact, more than once I've had an issue that to me was insurmountable that they fixed so quickly they said it was free of charge. They hK ave also fixed things for one third (not a typo) of the estimate given to me by a bike shop in Hill Crest. Besides, the owner is very nice and his Japanese wife is so sweet it's out of control.

Awesome bike shop, open 10-5! Got my mountain bike tuned up in no time and at a great price. Awesome people do deal with, great work done, and wasn’t nearly as pricy as I had thought. Will be going back for all my bicycle needs!

I don’t know his name, but the mechanic always working in the back is exceptionally skilled. I feel like an idiot for the fact that I took my commuter bike, for service, to Performance Bike shop for years. All while this guy was silently working in my own back yard. Luckily for me I figured it out. My bike has never run better. This mechanic is top shelf.

Finally got here to get my bike looked at. Roger is the MAN! Took the time to explain everything. Super nice. Thank you sir! Great service, and quality work! She rides like a brand new Lexus. Super stoked!
