Their Discover and Nomad models showed up as consistent value picks in the commuter and adventure categories. The Tempo is them applying that same approach to the lightweight commuter segment.
The question with any lightweight e-bike is what got cut to hit that weight. Battery range often takes the hit first. Velotric hasn’t released full range specs yet, but it’s worth watching. A bike that’s great for a 5-mile commute might not cut it for a 20-mile round trip.
