We ordered a bike from Specialized because they were having a 25% off sale and we weren't in town. This shop is a specialized dealer, so it was delivered here for assembly. The shop owner proceeded to berate my wife about how we stole his mark up because we bought it online. He then wouldn't honor the free assembly from specialized that came with the purchase. Great experience with Battenkill bicycles today. Barrack helped set us up with two rental hybrid bikes and an e-bike for the family. He also and made an *amazing* recommendation for a ride to Pawlet that was strikingly beautiful. Highly recommend.

This bike shop is fabulous. I made the mistake of buying my first bike on the internet probably made in China. They were happy to service it and didn't question my decision at all. But when it came time to buy a new bike, they were very helpful in helping me select the perfect bike for me. I did continue to look on the internet, but the support here was just incredible. We offered to put a down payment to reserve a bike at their recent bike swap, but they assured us it would be held for us even without down payment. Coming back 2 hours later we found they had sold it to someone else. We were treated very rudely by the staff throughout, with one particular staff member coming across as arrogant and unfriendly.
