Darren, the shop owner is one of a kind. And by that I mean KIND! He is literally one of the nicest, humble and genuine bike mechanics in the area. He is honest and does good work. I mostly gravel bike and purchased a sick Rodeo Labs Flaanimal here. Darren worked with me to build the bike and keep it in my budget. They also sell Orbea, Trek and Osto bikes. Stop here if you want to be a part of the cycling community in Central Vermont! You won't regret it.

Darren is a very knowledgeable about all things bikes. We' ve purchased a used bike from him, had our bikes tunes up and we've very happy with the experience. He stands behind his work and when things needed adjusted he takes care of it no questions asked. I've had nothing but great experiences at the Vermont Bicycle Shop in Barre. One of the marks of a great shop is how they handle problems: I bought a new bike from him that had some brake issues, but Darren quickly diagnosed the problem and got a warranty replacement - I haven't had any problems since. Darren was also very helpful in figuring out what made sense for new bikes for my kids (they keep growing like weeds) and in keeping my old road bike moving.
