Bike Doctor Frederick

I’ve been cycling for over 15 years, mostly triathlons but recently started mountain biking. It’s the first time I have to pay $180 for a BASIC tune up, and it took the bike shop 2 weeks to give me back my bike. To my surprise, I noticed that the chain rings were dirty (see pics). It looks like they hose it down without disassembling it and properly cleaning it with degreaser. The Bike Doctor in Frederick is fantastic! The staff are honest and they won’t push unnecessary repairs. They’ll always give you a breakdown on what’s needed. Overall, I’m very pleased with their service.

I might be setting the bar a little low for a five-star review, but here it goes. Lol. I stopped in on a Sunday to pick up some mineral oil so I could bleed my brakes (on a Sunday, because the two other shops that I tried on Saturday didn't stock it.. which I found strange if you consider yourself a full service bike shop). Sometimes the value of an item isn’t just about dollars & cents. Some machines are just Lucky-in that they’ve always kept you safe. Special experiences, good times. No matter what anyone else thinks, it’s Special to you. It has sentimental value from the times you’ve had with it. This was the case with my old bike. I rode it hard for 3 years with next to 0 maintenance. Whereas most people would have told me to just scrap it and get a new one, I knew I had a good machine. And Bike Doctor help...

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who go above and beyond. My bike came quickly from the Arnold store and they even offered to drop it off at my house. We've had a good experience with their tune-up services, too.
