Old Strathcona Cycles

The first time I'd been to Old Strathcona Cycles was about a year ago. I came in asking a ton of questions about how to choose the right bike, things to look for, even stuff about style and aesthetic. Mindy was super helpful and encouraging, especially since I was so new to the whole bike scene all together. A year later, when I finally got my first bike I came back and Mike was so great giving me information on where to source parts to customize my bike, resources on where I could find help...

Brought in my bike after a theft recovery for some replacement parts and an inspection. The staff here are excellent! Very communicative and up-front about price and service time expectations. They even managed to beat their own price at the low end of the budget they gave me. The absolute icing on this cake, though, is in the cable crimping. They used an orange crimp to match the rest of my bike, which is a tiny detail I might never have noticed and definitely didn't expect. I highly recom...

I've been a regular of Mindy and Mike for nearly ten years. Got a Marin from them back in high school which has steadily been turned into a frankenbike. In all that time I can't think of a single issue with the repairs or maintenance.

New to the cycling world and stopped by to look at some potential options. Not only was there a great selection of parts and put together bikes. But the customer service was excellent. Mindy (hopefully I spelt that correctly) who helped us was super knowledgeable, approachable, funny and very friendly.
